Merry Christmas
All is well
Merry Christmas everyone. It has been a good year overall and we have our grandson staying with us for Christmas so Ginny has space to recover from her shoulder surgery. We are getting together this evening with Emily and her boyfriend Tristin, Nick, and David and Ginny for our Christmas Eve pizza making party before we open our presents. This will be after the Christmas Eve church service starting at 4:30 with some special music. The church is all decked out for Christmas and you can watch on YouTube if you would like. Just search for “First Presbyterian Church Whitefish” at 4:30 (Mountain Time) and select the live feed.
It has been snowy at times the last couple of weeks but our days have been gloomy without much sun. This is taking a toll on the driveway as the sun usually helps to get the last traces of snow and ice off after I blow the snow off with our garden tractor. So I am giving you two views from our back porch.
This one is from 2020 with snow on the trees. Much prettier than the one this year where all of the snow is off of the trees after a couple of days of high 30’s temperature and wind.
This year is still a nice view, but we miss the snow on the trees. Also no ice on the river.
This is how we make pizza (beer helps) before taking it out onto the porch to get it cooked in our Ooni outdoor pizza oven. Each person makes their own pizza and I usually cook them as it takes a little practice with the Ooni as it heats up to a little over 900 degrees and you have to turn the pizza every 15 seconds or it will burn on the side closest to the wood pellets. But is is ever so good when done.
This is the best part of the evening. Time with family and especially with the grandkids. I’ll post more pictures from this year for my New Years note.
Here is hoping that you have a lot to be thankful for this year and are having time with your friends and family for Christmas. As a good friend recently wrote: “Immanuel - God is with us”.
